At Wilshire Park students in grades K-5 will experience curriculum based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Wilshire Park students are critical thinkers who engage in engineering to solve problems. Grandparents’/Special Older Friend Day is Friday, May 17th. The event will be held even if it rains. In the event of rain, outdoor seating will be moved to the gym. Grandparent lunch reservations were due by May 6th and the appropriate amount of food was ordered. If your child’s grandparent or special guest does not have a reservation and would like to attend, they are welcome to come and bring their own lunch. Reservations were required so we do not run out of lunch for our students. Our special visitors should enter through Door #3, along the north parking lot. Those doors will be unlocked from 10:30 a.m-1:15 p.m. A staff member will greet grandparents at Door #3 to get them signed in and direct them to the cafeteria. Grandparents do not need to check in at the office. We welcome visitors during the student’s lunch time. Due to classroom interruptions, we ask that visitors not go to the child’s classroom after lunch. Payment for lunches will be deducted from your child’s account.
