Four seniors at St. Anthony Village High School were recently recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Competition (NMSC), an academic competition for high school students. To participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program, high school students must take the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) and score in the top four percent. Alex Gulachek, Elizabeth Jacobsen, and Sylvia Lease received Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding test score on the PSAT. Commended students score in the top four percent on the PSAT. David Busacker was recognized as a Semifinalist in the NMSC, an honor achieved by less than 1% of graduating seniors. Semifinalists can continue with the scholarship application process to become a NMSC Finalist and be considered for a National Merit Scholarship. NMSC Finalists will be notified in February 2012.
