The purpose of the Business Department is to offer students a high degree of exposure to computer software currently used in business, post-secondary schools, and for personal use. Most post-secondary schools require students to know how to operate a computer and the majority of careers today and in the future require computer competency.

Recognizing the importance of career exploration at the high school level, the Business Department also offers classes for those students who may be interested in pursuing business as a career option.

The business/technology department is located in Room 309. Thirty Dell computers, two printers, and one stereo monitor with cable TV access are housed in the department. Other peripheral equipment available for students and staff to use is a digital camera and PC Viewer. The classroom is set up to utilize a file server where students have access to save their files.
