Roger Braun Receives Award for Outstanding Service to Youth
Congratulations to Roger Braun who was nominated and selected to receive this year’s Outstanding Service to Youth Award which is sponsored by Northwest Youth and Family Services. Braun volunteers his time to supervise the middle school open gym program at Elmwood Church every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Braun enjoys interacting with the youth and works to ensure they have a safe, supervised place to go after school. Braun was formally recognized at the awards banquet on February 11, 2010.

St. Anthony Middle School Speech Team Secures 1st Place at Tournament Congratulations to the St. Anthony Middle School Speech Team, who were champions at the final tournament of the year at Centennial Middle School on February 6. St. Anthony Middle School’s team scored 85 points, outscoring schools from Centennial, Forest Lake, Eden Prairie, White Bear Lake and Monticello. Finalists from St. Anthony Middle School included Alanna Ault (1st), Andrew Himmer (2nd), and Toby Bergum (8th) in Humorous Prose; Palmer Sola (1st) in Humorous Poetry; Liam Taylor (1st) in Serious Prose; Mitch Andreasen (1st), Jade Nelson (2nd), and Jade Dreier (3rd) in Storytelling; Quinn Bellestri (2nd) in Informative; Mary Buie (2nd) in Creative Expression, and Mahvish Khan (3rd) in Extemporaneous Reading.
Huskie Hub Huskie Hub is a web-based communication system for students, parents and staff. This system allows students to access a dynamic personal calendar based on their specific class schedules. Huskie Hub also has a central directory which connects students and parents to teacher websites and online materials. In addition, this site provides parents with access to the JMC gradebook.
