Student Council
Purpose: To plan and implement activities for the student body including activity nights, holiday grams and represent the student body in decisions which affect the entire student population.
Who can join: 6th, 7th, 8th graders; officers elected from this group

Builder's Club
Purpose:
To give service to the community/school and to assist in charity fundraising. This is an organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and is an extension of the K- Kids.
Who can join: open to all middle school students.
Meetings:
The group meets weekly Wednesdays, 2: 45 to 3: 15 in Room 116.

Knowledge Bowl

Purpose:
To participate against other schools in a team trivia competition.
Date/times of practices:
Thursdays, 2: 45 to 3: 30 p. m.
Who can join:
7th and 8th (6th graders are welcome but it tends to be a little advanced.)

Drama
Purpose:
To encourage interest in dramatic arts and to provide opportunities for students to use their acting, singing, and dancing talents while having fun creating the magic of live theater.
Who can join:
7th & 8th grade students. Students not interested in being on stage can work on sets, props, and costumes.

Speech
Purpose:
The speech team is a fun way for students to improve as speakers and performers in a competitive setting. People who enjoy drama will also enjoy speech. Practice begins in December, and speech meets begin in January. Meets are held at Forest Lake, Centennial, Eden Prairie, White Bear Lake, and at SAMS.
